Sharing is caring and sharing my photos on the 23 Things flickr group was just what I did. Starting waaaaay later than everyone else means I haven’t been able to see anything new, but that’s cool. Now my buddy Spiderman is the first thing you see when you click on the group!
Megan and VT’s 23 Things: Week 2
Well this lesson was all about Flickr and I suppose I learned that the best thing I can do for my photos is to label them. That way people don’t assume a random jumble of programming happens here, but instead get a play by play of all the fun we have!

Megan’s learning VT’s 23 things: Week 1
Well I’ve decided to brush up on my 2.0 skillz by participating in VT’s 23 things! It’s a web based class where I’ll be learning all that is 2.0 and reminding myself to use all that is 2.0, ;}! This week’s task is blogging, and while I’vce already been “using” this blog for quite some time, I’m going to be bringing it into the main light in weeks to come. Here goes!!!

What a great summer program we’ve had this year! School starts soon, don’t forget to swing by and finish up your summer reading before it’s too late! There are a lot of choices in right now, so get going so you can really enjoy your last few days of summer vacation!
Summer Reading progam comes to a close!
Tomorrow, Friday the 15th, is the last day you can call/write/email me the titles you’ve read this summer. Don’t forget, if it’s not a book from here I need to know how many pages it contains. I have an appt. tomorrow in the afternoon, so I’ll be doing my FINAL tally Monday morning before the party. The prize packages will be given out at the party which starts at 1pm on Monday, the 18th. I’ll have food, games and of course, treats!

Story Hour
We’re still going strong with our summertime story hour! Having changed locations to some blankets on the back lawn this summer, we’ve had so much fun making joke candy, birdfeeders, and turning ourselves into the tattooed ladies and gentleman of the circus! All ages are invited to join us next week as we read books about mommies, daddies, and you! we’ll be on the blankets out back at 11am each Tuesday until the end of July!

Looking for Alaska is this month’s Reading Group Book, and I’ve got a ton of copies left! Swing by and pick one up if you’re tired or writing reports about your summer reading books. Instead, read this one and bring 5 discussion questions on August 11th. That’s right- you get a MONTH to read this book instead of a week like the other summer reading books!

James and the Giant Peach Matinee
This Wednesday @ 1pm, we’ll be having a matinee of James and the Giant Peach downstairs. Come escape the heat and share some popcorn while enjoying this great movie based on the book by Roald Dahl, Megan’s favorite Children’s Author!
